Our Vision
Our vision is to see people experience freedom from the grip of anxiety, supported by a loving community. We believe that healing comes through connection—both with one another and with the peace that comes from something greater than ourselves. At Shiloh, we aim to help you grow emotionally and spiritually, finding hope and courage through meaningful conversation and thoughtful reflection.
Our Core Beliefs
You are not alone—Community is key to overcoming anxiety. (Psalm 34:18)
Healing is possible—No matter where you are, there is hope. (Matthew 11:28)
You have value—Your worth is inherent and unshakable. (Genesis 1:27)
Peace is attainable—True peace can be found, even in life’s hardest moments. (John 14:27)
Prayer is powerful—It provides comfort and helps us process our emotions. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Growth happens in community—We grow stronger together. (James 5:16)
Forgiveness brings freedom—Letting go can release us from inner turmoil. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
God’s presence is constant—He walks with us through every challenge. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Scripture offers strength—It helps guide us through anxiety with wisdom. (2 Timothy 3:16)
The future holds promise—Even when anxiety looms, there’s always a brighter tomorrow. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Meet Joe
Hi, I’m Joe Morabito, and I’m truly blessed and honored to lead the Shiloh Anxiety Support Group here at Abundant Life in Lincoln Park. My path to this ministry has been shaped by my own battles with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. When I was ten, my father passed away suddenly from a heart attack, leaving me to navigate grief, confusion, and doubt at a young age. For the next 15 years, I struggled in silence—feeling lost, alone, and overwhelmed. The weight of unaddressed trauma pushed me into depression and anxiety, eventually leading to severe addictions. At my lowest point, I even considered ending my life, believing there was no way out.
But God had other plans. My mother’s diagnosis of brain cancer became a turning point. Watching her face her illness with unshakable faith in God moved me deeply. In my brokenness, I began to cry out to God, searching for the peace that she had in the midst of such hardship. Through the support of my pastor and church, I began to grow in my relationship with God and dive deeper into the Bible. After my mother’s passing, I found hope in the Gospel—a hope that continues to sustain me today.
I’m leading Shiloh because I know what it’s like to feel trapped by anxiety, to wake up every day feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. I also know the freedom that comes from bringing those burdens to God. My heart is to create a safe and welcoming space where others can find the same hope and healing I’ve experienced. At Shiloh, we support each other, pray together, and explore practical, biblical ways to overcome anxiety and live in the peace God promises.
